Does anyone else ever wonder?

Just where we would be if the events of 6 years ago never happened?

I know it’s a bit pointless but, I have to wonder what the country (or the planet for that matter) would be like. A lot of times you’ll hear about all the planning that went into carrying out the attacks but, did you ever get the sense these idiots didn’t really follow through? By follow through I mean, they didn’t think about what would happen AFTER the attacks. It was more a like the goal of carrying out the things was the be all and end all. I guess it just speaks to how stupid the people behind the damn thing are: ‘WE WILL ATTACK AND THEY WILL DO... NOTHING!’

I’m trying to think what would Afghanistan look like? Iraq? Would Bush have gotten a second term? Would Guiliani even be running for president? You have to think about how different the world would be and then at the end of the day I’ve got to think the only thing that the people who carried out the attacks managed to accomplish was the exact opposite of what they wanted.

I could live without that irony.
